A Local Mentoring Program

When a woman is newly diagnosed, she can experience a huge array of emotions and challenges. Many times, it is very difficult to know where or who to turn to for support, resources, and unconditional understanding. Thriving Pink is dedicated to providing a support network for local survivors.

PINK PEERS

We connect newly diagnosed women with survivors who volunteer as mentors to guide them through the challenges of breast cancer with emotional and practical support.  A Pink Peer Group also meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month for social activities and gatherings throughout the year to provide connection and support. Email info@thrivingpink.org for a Pink Peer Mentor or to attend a social Pink Peer Group.

RENEWAL RETREAT

An annual retreat in September each year which is professionally facilitated and hosts local survivors for a special weekend.  There is no cost to attend the Renewal Retreat which provides a respite from the stresses of daily life and a unique opportunity to create close bonds with other survivors/thrivers.

THRIVING WORKSHOP & PINK SPEAKER SERIES

A series of free monthly workshops designed for women diagnosed with breast cancer and those who support them.  Thriving Workshops are based on themes of goal setting, milestones, and connection in a support group setting.  Pink Speaker Series Workshops invite health professionals, including oncologists, who give presentations on treatment options and advances in research.  All workshops are professionally facilitated in a supportive environment. The workshops are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 7:00- 8:30 pm.  RSVP to info@thrivingpink.org for details and to attend.

Contact us for a referral to a Pink Peer, to attend the Renewal Retreat or Workshop series.

Mentors are also available through ABCD (After Breast Cancer Diagnosis). You can call 1-800-221-2141 and see the website: http://www.abcdbreastcancersupport.org/get-support/get-a-mentor/
