Mentoring Pink

A Network of Support

We offer services and programs for the breast cancer community from the initial time of diagnosis through all phases of survivorship. Contact us for information about any of the Mentoring Pink offerings. Email info@thrivingpink.org

Pink Peer Mentor:

Through one-on-one connections, we match newly diagnosed individuals with a trained volunteer pink peer mentor who can share their personal experiences and offer support along the journey.

Pink Speaker Series Workshops:

Educational workshops are presented by medical professionals on topics that range from medical treatment and healthcare options to emerging research, nutrition, and fitness.

Peer-to-Peer Connections:

Interactive sessions and gatherings facilitated by professionals and wellness practitioners with a focus on resilience, self-care, and pink peer connections.

In-Person Programs:

In-person gatherings and programs to offer support, friendship, and learning opportunities such as Healing Arts, Meditation, Crats, Gentle Yoga, and other positive programs. Check our events calendar for more details on upcoming sessions.

Saturday Morning Walks:

Morning scenic walks in a Yolo County park provide a healthy and relaxed opportunity to connect and build community. Check our events calendar for time and place.

Renewal Retreat:

Open to those who have completed treatment, this annual weekend retreat is an opportunity for reflection, setting of future intentions, connection, and self-care. Space is limited. Learn more.

Comfort Bags:

Available at local healthcare systems, as well as the Thriving Pink office, comfort bags are filled with thoughtful items as one begins their breast cancer treatment. We appreciate our incredible team of supporters and donors for making these comfort bags possible.

Office & Community Room:

A comfortable and spacious location for personal connections, resources, and support. Check out books on breast cancer or find local and national resources in English or Spanish. We understand how breast cancer can affect the entire family and also offer materials through our YES program (Youth Education and Support) to help children through this experience. Volunteer to assemble a comfort bag for a newly diagnosed individual. You can also support our Granting Pink or Mentoring Pink core programs and our special community outreach events.

"When someone is newly diagnosed, they can experience an array of emotions and challenges. It is often difficult to know where or who to turn to for resources and unconditional understanding. We provide a meaningful network of support for the local breast cancer community."
